updates and milestones

Hello you guys,

Steve again.

I have some important updates to tell you about today.
First of all, the number of views on this blog has officially reached, you guessed it, 5000! That is quite a big milestone for the blog! We are half way to the 5 digit numbers! Since it took about 729 days to reach this number of views, I expect that it will take upto 1300 views (I may be wrong, but who cares) to reach 10000. I just want to thank you viewers for getting this blog so far and paying attention to my content.

Another thing is that I will be creating a photos page soon, gathering all the pictures in my blog and adding them to separate categories, similar to the audio page. Also, I will display the latest image right below the name of the category. Please click on this button thingie every morning until it works. I will tell you that it might take until either tomorrow to get it up and running, so please be patient.

Now, I will tell you about my recent days.

On saturday, I went to my friend’s birthday party. It was a horse back riding party, which turned out to be pretty fun! I will have the pictures posted on this post and hopefully the photos page by friday, so check back then.
After the hourse back riding part, we got some ice cream from Derry Queen (I got a hot fudge milkshake), and my friend opened his present that I got him.

After that party, Saturday night just turned into a relaxed chill kind of night. My dad baught me and my sister some freekishly awesome speakers for our phones and book readers, so me and libby watched stormbreaker, an Alex Rider movie on them.

Sunday was a pretty fun day as well. So, there is this relatively new goalball coach that also helps Libby studie for her AP test. She is pretty funny, and me, libby, and her like to tell jokes. Her name is Shena, but Libby calles her Coach because she was trying to teach Libby who is quite an experienced player (and she is pretty new) how to throw. This brought out the name Coach, and though this occured several weeks or months ago, Libby still uses the name. Well, I went with Libby and Coach to study, after which we ate at some Mexican food restaurant and I got chicken fingers. Then, we got some yogert from this yogert place. I ended up getting cake batter yogert with angel food cake on top.

After that, Coach had to take us home, after which the routine returned to normal.
Yesterday was like any old munday, not much to talk about.
So far, today has been pretty good, I guess if you’d call sitting in reading class an awesome experience.

Well, I guess that wraps up this post for today. Once again, expect those photos to be on that page, and the hourse riding photos by Friday or Saturday hopefully.

Thanks for reading,
type you later,
steve.

Blog update, news, shout outs and all that kind of stuff

you guys,
steve again

I am back for, you guessed it, some updates for the blog.

First of all, I would like to give a shout out to my friend Brett, because he has been wanting to be shouted out on the blog for the passed 4 months.

Furthermore, I’ve had a long but good week. Staar testing was this Tuesday and Wednesday (math and reading), and I’m almost sure I passed both tests. Today and monday have been normal school days, and Saturday and Sunday of last week were pretty normal.
In fact, let me tell you about every day since friday. So, this weekend like i said was quite normal. Saturday was nothing but goalball practice, Libby’s friend coming over, and relaxing. Sunday was acleaning day. Monday was test review day at school, and otherwise normal (there was no spin class), but I hope we go tonight. Tuesday and Wednesday were staar testing, then stay at home alone afternoons, while as to the contrast today has been a normal Thursday.
If you’re wondering, I do have a bit of social studies homework supposedly, however I will try to knock it out before the end of school (homework as you know isn’t the funnest thing ever).

Now, on to the gamebook stranded part 2.

I think I’ve found a website host that will let me host my gamebook on its servers. To put that less geeky, I think I found a solution for you to play the gamebook online! If this indeed works, I will convert all the books to playable online, or browser based games.
I haven’t started the developement process of the game yet, but I will shortly. I am beginning to get an idea of the release time–some time in the second half of next month (last post I just said some time next month). If you’re wondering why it is taking so long, it is because I want a high quality fun game for you all that will take a long time to play. For now, you can enjoy my other 2 games, kids prison and stranded part one here.

Another thing, I got another follower this week, shortly after Friday night’s post. So, I just want to welcome you, the new follower to the blog, and thank the older ones for keeping on reading these entries, and viewing the site. Also, you know how Sunday I declaired that I had 4902 viewers, the total now exceeds 4950. Thanks for viewing!

Thanks for reading,

Busy Week

Hey you guys,
Steve again.

I know the last time I posted to the blog was Monday, but I still have a lot to tell you.

First, we are aproaching the blog’s birthday! In fact, it is this sunday, April 21, 2013. The blog will be turning 2 years old then. On that day, expect an anual report telling you all the stats as of that day. If you want to see all of what I posted this day last year, click here.

Besides that, I know you’ve probably heard about the bombing in Boston. Not only that, there was a massive explosion in texas, about an hour or so from where I live. Though it was far away, there was still a noise that sounded like thunder that followed it, and the noise reached my ears. Since I was sitting right next to a door leading outside, and there wasn’t much noise, I was able to hear it purfectly. Meanwhile, people down south felt something similar to that of an earthquake caused by the explosion, however the explosion triggered a seismograph which reached all the way to the pan handle. The miniture earthquake it caused was a magnitude 2.1.

Finally, I have some more news to tell you about. I am starting to work on stranded part 2, and this one I am going to try and make it possible to play online. If I can do this, I will convert all my games to where you can play in your browser, and ultimately put a backlink to the blog at the end of them. As for the read me files on the games, I will post them as seperate files on the gamebooks page of the website.
As of now, I don’t have a speciffic release date for this game, however it will be some time next month.

Other then that, there’s not much to say. So, thanks for reading!

YEY SATURDAY!!! (not).

Hello all,
severe storm steve again.

Most people are excited about it being Saturday are they not? Most people that is, except me. There are probably 6,999,999,999 people on the plannet who are going, “Woo-hoo! Saturday at last!” There is a valad reason for me not being excited however–the end is near.
I’m not some end-of-world big talker, thus that sourt of catastrophe isn’t what the end will bring. The “end” is another name for the last day of a break, the day when you know that in 24 hours you will be walking into the dreaded school. In my case, the end is tomorrow. The end to a quite awesome spring break that seemed to slip through my fingers one quick moving day at a time. It seems just yesterday I was walking through my front door and hanging my backpack up, knowing I wouldn’t have to bear its weight for the next 9 days. Now, after just a blink of an eye, it is doomsday eve.
Don’t get me wrong, Sunday during the daytime hours won’t be doomsday, because it is still spring break. The actual doom will come at 10:00 that night, the time spring break is up for me and when I have to go to bed.
On a posative note, let’s do a little recap of events that happened over the break.

Last weekend was one of relaxation. Nothing really happened, since goalball was canseled for spring break. Monday, I had to get a phizical for a summer camp I will be attending, the same one I attended last year. Please click here to see how that camp went. It’s called Lions camp, and is actually quite a blast. This time, I will be going on July 7th, not the first.
After that doctors appointment, I was trapped in the house for the next 2 days with my sister (what fun).
Thursday and Friday were the only 2 days the 4 of us got to spend together as a family. We didn’t do much Thursday, besides cooking hamburgers and playing wii family game night.
Friday was the day I got some really good exercise in. After a 45 minute bikeride in the morning, our family went to white rock, where me and my sister threw a ball back and forth and walked around with my parents and our 2 boxers, Cassie and Newton.
After the afternoon at white rock, I came home and crashed as a result of a headache followed by extreme exhaustion. When I finally awoke 2 hours later, I ended up spending the night with my family again.

Today has been another day I was trapped with my sister. About what I said earlier, just kidding. It really isn’t that bad. I’ve been watching weather videos on youtube all day, along with eating lunch, drinking coffee (lots of coffee), and a whole bunch of nothing.

P.S. Yesterday at whiterock, me and my sister fed the ducks. They grabbed the flippin’ bread out of our hands, on one occasion a fat burd bighting my finger during an attempt to get some bread that was stuck around it. Here is a picture of the ducks getting the bread:

updates

Hey you guys,

Steve here.

I had quite a good weekend. My goalball coach said I did really good. Also, I finally got that game put up, so I hope that you will enjoy it.

On the other hand, I wasn’t ready to face the challenge of school today. You know, weekends just fly by way too fast. It is like you are going home from school on Friday, only to blink your eyes and be back again. One thing to look forward to however is the prospect of being on spring break next week. That is the only sperit lifter I can think of at the moment, it being Monday and all.

On the weather forecast however, there is going to be a very warm today. It is supposed to reach 85 digrees, something I haven’t experienced in so long, I don’t even know the date that last happened. To top that off, it will be 57 tomorrow afternoon. It is warmer than that right now at about 9:30 in the morning!
Also, last Monday there was freezing cold windy weather, with highs in the upper 40’s. Think back to 168 hours ago, how cold it was. Amarillo was being pounded with heavy snow, and we were getting a couple flurries. Take that back, perhaps it was about 162 hours ago, since the cold came in the afternoon. Now, we are in the 80’s, how is that?

back to my life, I am addicted to two new games. I will give you the links to download them at the app store at the bottom of this post. One is called accessible minesweeper, sited people can play too, and the other is called tap the mole. Tap the mole is also accessible for blind people, yet again sited players can play this one as well.
Since I couldn’t go out and do much yesterday, I was able to buy and play these games. I’m thinking about going over to apple vis, a website for aps and stuff for blind people using mac computers and IOS devices, and searching for more games.

To wrap up this post, I think today will be a good day, and that the coming week will be pretty good as well. Also, just in case you didn’t know, I have alergies again, however I don’t think that will stop me from having a good week.
I hope you had a good weekend, and have a good week as well.
Thanks for reading,

game news/blog update

Hey you guys,
Steve again.

You know the game book I’ve been ranting about? I have more exciting news for you. This game book has more adventure than I thought it would. Just in case you don’t know this about me, I love to get carried away on my work. That is why this happened:

• The island leader is Mickey Mouse, and don’t worry, in one of the up coming game book novels you will get to kill him.
• There is a turtle with a slingshot somewhere in the story.
• There is a dragon.
• There is a kitten that has a knife and gun.
• The people on the island worship Mickey Mouse, but you don’t.
• There are tones of portals
• There are some tricky hints.

Mind you, you won’t see all of these funny things, because when you leave the water (you will know what I’m talking about after playing the game), you have 3 choices. North, East, and West. Pick a branch, and ready yourself for adventure.

Here are some life updates now.

Guess what, I got Dragon Dictation on my iPod. I think it is really cool, because I don’t even have to type. Mind you, I can’t use it to type everything. Thus, I am still asking for an apple keyboard for my birthday next month.
On the other hand, I’ve chosen what I want to do for my birthday. The party is on the 23rd, and I can’t wait. My friends will be joining me for a shenanigans party, where I will do go carts, bowling, and other fun things like that. I so can’t wait for this event!
We are doing it on the 23rd because my parents have work on the day of my birthday, and the weekend after. So, that is the only time to celebrate my birthday. Plus, my birthday is a school day, and so we wouldn’t be able to do anything on that day anyway.
I have also picked out my dinner. That day, I want to go to Raising Cane’s, a place that sails chicken fingers. You know I am a sucker for those, and if you don’t just head on over to the about page.
With that being said, I think my birthday is going to be an epic day for me, my friends, and my family.

Thanks for reading this post,
Steve.

updates

Hey you guys,
Here are some updates that I will tell you about.

First of all, I am going smoothly with the Stranded gamebook. I have been working on it occasionally, but when I do things on it I usually do a lot. So, to say for myself, I’ve completed quite a bit. That doesn’t mean, however, that I’m even close to done. I want this gamebook to be very long, thus I shall release it in 3 parts. As you should know, I am only doing part 1 at the current moment, and will not begin working on any more parts until after March 3, when the book is scheduled for release.

For more good news, I have the right software and know how to create gamebooks the right way now. So, that means I will be able to create more, and add them to the game books page. Please stay in touch with it, along with the news page for updates, and also the blog.

Now, here are some life updates.

Nothing intresting has happened in the last 24 hours. To tell you the truth, nothing intresting will happen today. My plan is just to go to goalball at about 2:00, then go visit Dawn Adams, one of my old vision teachers. I will then hopefully come home and eat dinner, and hang out for the night.

Now that I’m done with this post, I’d like to think the 4 new followers I recieved this week, 3 of them joining in 1 day. I also got lots more likes. If it weren’t for you loyal ffans, I wouldn’t be as tempted to go on posting. I thank the people who follow, like, and comment on this blog. I couldn’t do it without you. Remember,
Keep reading, following, liking, commenting, and rating, and I will most certainly keep posting.

p.s
Don’t worry if I’m gone for a while. Don’t lose your faith in me, and know that I will always be back to do more blogging. Only realise I won’t ever blog again when I post that I am taking this blog down. Don’t worry, that isn’t happening any time soon.

what’s happening

I haven’t posted one of these posts in a while, so time to catch up with what’s happening. Yes, I do the how my day went posts, but these are summaries of those put to gether. Well, life has been as usual. Those boring school days that seem to stretch on and on, along with goalball practice on the weekends, working out when I can, and making editions to the site. Also, there are those evenings that my head hurts, or that I have homework, or even want to just lay down and sleep. Though I love posting the how my day went entries, I just cannot seem to fit enough activity in my days most of the time to make them intresting. I so deerly thankyou readers and followers for coming and reading the content however, and thus will keep posting them.

Please keep reading, and I will keep posting
